Spatial Arrangement

From the artist: "This image is part of a series called Spatial Arrangments. The series is a study in color, texture, tone and pattern repeat. Images were created from original photographs of metal surfaces, woods, paints and drawing. These images work well as a series or in sets."
I saw a lace curtain with light shining through the part over the window and the rest hanging in shadow. And perhaps an old wall underneath - perhaps with mold or old markings. Great use of neutrals!

Robot Rock
I love that an illustration of a robot (rocking out) looks to be drawn on a background that resembles ancient Egyptian papyrus or something! (It's actually done on textured card stock.) Anyway, it's a terrific classic robot - I could easily see this as a background character in Furutama - LOL.

Epicentre Fire
I think the artist's description of this piece is just as creative as the image itself: "The transcendental art of fire dancing, combined with a backdrop of stark, urban-industrial desolation. The background represents the state of one's life (like the inside of their mind) and the subject twirling fire represents the transmuting of this apathy of existence into the realization that there is so much more to life and the Universe than what is going on in their head."

Dream Cow
It's so fluid, at first I thought it was totally abstract. You have to sink into a dream state in order to see the birds and countryside that are the dreams of the cow(s) meandering by underneath your perspective. Excellently dreamy!

Homestead #1
Living out in rural California, we saw a lot of old structures like this. The roof collapsing, the wood dry and falling away. I just think the artist did a terrific job capturing the feel of this rural decay!
