Blocks of Color by Stacy Lee

This is a squares in square sampler of a sorts. Once again I am taken in my all the bright, shiny colors! They are all pieces of Stacy Lee's other works - a clever combination! Click here for the zoom and more info.

Old Town Square by Studioworks

"Maria Rosina paints with oil paint over archivally printed black and white photography. Old European town with the traditional narrow cobble stone streets and houses seeming to squeeze in tight next to one another opens up to the town square where the heart of the activity lies. Through dynamic compositional innovations about architecture and landscapes she develops ideas reflecting the elegance of symmetry and panoramic vistas evoking places of the impossible."

That says a lot more than I was going to say, and better - heh. Really, it just caught my eye with the fish-eye-esque perspective and the pale pastel colors - just very cool. The fact that it's a square photo of a town square is just an added bonus.
